Your presence and participation are important as we make this decision together as a church family.
Join us for Experiencing the Heart of Jesus by Max Lucado — a powerful study that invites us to move beyond simply knowing about Christ to truly knowing His love, compassion, and heart for each of us. Through weekly sessions filled with Scripture, stories, and meaningful questions, we’ll grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus. Whether you're new to faith or have been walking with Him for years, this study offers a fresh and life-giving perspective. Starts Sunday, September 21st at 9am. Kindly sign up in advance at the Lees Lane lobby so we can ensure the correct number of books are ordered.
The Outreach Committee expresses a thank you to our Grace Family for your continued pantry support. We were especially able to meet the needs of seniors over the summer. As we approach September and the schools are back in session, the following items are needed for seniors and Roosevelt families:
The Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes invites you to a two-day Dismantling Racism Training, a key part of our commitment to Christian discipleship and building the Beloved Community. The training will take place on Friday, September 19, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in The Gathering Place. Attendance on both days is required to receive credit. Led by Dr. Nancy Foster, an experienced educator, this training will explore the history of racism in the United States and the Episcopal Church’s role in its structures. It is open to all who wish to deepen their understanding and commitment to racial healing and justice. Participation is especially encouraged for parish staff, vestry members, diocesan convention delegates, and anyone serving in a leadership role. A sign-up sheet is available in the Lees Lane Lobby. All are welcome.
To help keep our prayer list current and meaningful, we are moving to a 4-week prayer cycle. Names will remain on the list for four Sundays from the date they are added, unless we’re notified to keep them on longer. You can request prayer by filling out a form in the Lees Lane Lobby, calling the church office at 810-985-9539, or submitting a request online at www.graceporthuron.net/prayer-request. Thank you for helping us care for one another through prayer.
